Exploring Understanding of the Most Recent Developments in Quantum Computing

Rekomendowane odpowiedzi

Hello Everyone :),

I'm contacting this expert community in an effort to learn more and start a conversation on the most recent developments in quantum computing. I am very interested in learning about the state of the subject right now and its possibilities going forward because I find the prospect of quantum mechanics to be so fascinating.

Significant progress has been made in quantum computing in the last few years, as evidenced by IBM's developments in quantum processors and Google's announcement of quantum supremacy. But given how quickly things are developing, it might be difficult to stay up to date on the newest discoveries and comprehend their ramifications.

Here are some particular topics I would want to talk about:

Present-day benchmarks: What noteworthy developments in quantum computing have occurred recently? How do they stack up against earlier benchmarks?

Practical Uses: Although quantum computing has a lot of theoretical promise, what are some real-world uses that we may anticipate in the years to come? Which industries are now gaining from quantum technology?

https://www.orfonline.org/research/quantum-computing-current-scenario-and-future-prospects

Challenges and Limitations: In spite of the advancements, what are the main obstacles that researchers and developers working in the area of quantum computing are now facing?

Educational Resources: Which books, classes, or websites are recommended for those of us who want to learn more and gain a thorough understanding of quantum computing?

Prospects for the Future: What do experts think will happen to quantum computing in the future? In what ways might this uipath technology change in the ensuing ten years?

I would be interested in knowing your opinions, personal experiences, and any further knowledge you may have about these subjects. Thank you in advance for your help and support.

Personally I am not very optimistic regarding current quantum computers, for example the most promising was Shor algorithm - with 21 = 3x7 type of records with nearly no progress ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shor's_algorithm#Physical_implementation ), succeeding supremacy claims are leapfrogged by classical (e.g. recently Sycamore: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2406.18889 ) ... even if becoming better at this kind of artificial problems, it is like claiming hydro supremacy by saying that swinging a bucket of water would be better than simulating it - sure, but can it compute some practical problems???

Having said that, I see a ray of hope for QC in more symmetric nextgen 2WQC - questioning blind assumption (violating CPT symmetry) of standard 1WQC that we have only state preparation |0>, but not its conjugated counterpart <0| - just perform a process which is the original state preparation process in CPT perspective, and CPT theorem says you should get the conjugated version.

Having both |0> and <0| in 2WQC, we will get much better control of the information flow - e.g. in theory allowing to solve NP problems, Grover becomes faster and more stable ( https://arxiv.org/pdf/2406.09450 ), error control should be also much better ... they have a chance to bring the real quantum supremacy.

There was some topic in Christopher Nolan movie called "Inception". They use problematic of QDs (Quantum Dots) to stole information and make humans slaves.

I have shooting script of this movie.

This movie is about somebody dreaming for you; to make you slave without own thoughts. They use a informatic term as "Ariadne threat", logic implication are there a begin of idea.

Nolan is christian catholic perhaps, he make this shooting script that was writed ten years. In movie when Dom is reading a paper stolen too Saito there is information about QDs. In "Inception, The Shooting Script" there is also such information.
